Luke Weil was born in New York City on September 11, 1979. He grew up in Manhattan and attended Trinity School and Collegiate before going to boarding school at St. Paul's in his sophomore year, graduating in 1998.

Luke then attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 2002.

After finishing his undergraduate work, Luke Weil began working in the fall of 2002 as an analyst in the investment banking division of Bear, Stearns and Co. He remained there until 2004, when he left to take a job with Business Strategies & Insight, Inc. (BSI), a public affairs, government relations and business consulting firm. In the roughly two years he was with BSI, Luke's work focused on the nexus of politics and business, helping its corporate clients manage their often complex interactions and relationships with governments domestically and abroad.

In 2006, Luke Weil left BSI to return to school and matriculated at Columbia's Graduate School of Business, where he received his MBA in 2008. After graduating from business school, Luke Weil went to work for Scientific Games Corporation(SG), a diversified gaming company and a market leader in lottery products and services, where he now runs business development for the Latin American region.

In addition to his work at SG, Luke's professional life also includes a wide range of entrepreneurial and investing activities. Luke Weil sits on several boards of directors, including LW Air, an aviation holding and leasing company; Interactive Commerce Corp., an ecommerce and digital media company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA; and Andina Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company established to deploy equity capital in the Andean region of South America.

Outside his professional life, Luke Weil serves on the board of the Fortune Society, a service organization as well as a public policy group based in New York. Luke enjoys yoga, surfing, tennis, travel, and spends time in nature whenever he gets the opportunity.
